Irene & baby Eoin
"I loved the bonding experience and really enjoyed how relaxing the baby massage classes were. I learned that Eoin really enjoyed the massage experience and learned he had different body parts!! He became very aware of himself! Helen was wonderful, so approachable and easy going, very welcoming."
Mummy Anna
"A huge thanks to you for all the yoga classes & workshop. They were so beneficial that I was fully dilated when I went into hospital and delivered baby Lucy an hour later! I'm thrilled with how it all went."
Orla & baby Grace
“I thoroughly enjoyed the course of baby massage classes. Grace absolutely loves her daily massage now and it has really helped with her digestive problems. Helen was so approachable and easy to talk to and, as a first time Mum going through a tough time, I was very grateful for her help and understanding.”
Joanne & baby Seb
“The massage really helped us; it has increased our bonding, helped sleeping and also helped to relax baby. My baby really enjoys all aspects of it. Helen’s instruction, guidance & positive attitude is very refreshing.”
Susan & baby Sean
"I loved being able to spend real one to one time with my son while learning massage techniques which I look forward to using. It was amazing the calming effect that massage has on him. Helen went very clearly through all the techniques and made us all feel at ease. I really enjoyed the classes and so did my son. I find baby massage a brilliant means of soothing my baby if he is having trouble going to sleep."
Olivia & baby Elia
"It was really relaxing and was great to meet other mums and babies too!"
Q. When can I start a pregnancy yoga class?
We ask that you are at least 13 weeks pregnant to attend our pregnancy yoga class, as yours and baby’s body are undergoing great physical adaptation until this stage. But even if you are in the advanced stages of pregnancy, it is never too late to come along and reap the benefits!
Q. What should I bring to the class?
For pregnancy yoga, please bring a yoga mat and a pillow/cushion to ensure you are really comfortable.
Q. I’m pregnant with twins, can I still do yoga?
Yes there is no reason why all pregnant women cannot practice yoga during pregnancy, please just follow your caregiver’s advice. Pregnant women with all sorts of niggles and ailments are more than welcome to join our class, as we adapt postures for several conditions like sciatica, varicose veins, SPD, heartburn etc.
Q. How old does my baby need to be for Baby Massage and Baby Yoga classes?
We welcome babies of all ages for both classes. However, both mum and baby will get most out of the classes if baby is at least 4 weeks old for the Baby Massage class and at least 10 weeks for the Baby Yoga class as this is more active.
Q. What should I bring with me for the Baby Massage or Baby Yoga class?
Please just bring a mat to lie baby on. We provide organic oil for Baby Massage.
Q. What happens if I need to feed during a class?
Our classes are completely baby-led, therefore mum can feed at any stage during the class and sit back and relax, watching the moves. Sometimes you actually learn lots more when you sit back and take it all in! And don’t worry you won’t miss out as we recap the massage movements that were taught the previous week.
Q. My baby has just had her jabs, can I still come along?
You are more than welcome to attend a class, but baby probably won’t be in the mood to experience yoga or massage the day of or day after the immunisation. Therefore, please be mindful of this when you are organising the date for the immunisation.
Q. Can Dad come to the classes?
Yes Dads are most welcome to both massage and yoga classes, however we do recommend that only one parent does the massage during the class so as not to confuse baby. Each week you can take it in turns as one parent does the massage, the other can watch or practice on a doll.
Q. Do you give private classes?
Yes please contact Helen directly for private classes in your own home.
Q. Can I try out a class first or do I need to come for a full course?
You are most welcome to drop into either of the yoga classes, but the massage course doesn’t operate a drop facility as there is more to a baby massage class then just learning massage movements.
Q. I have a baby with additional needs, can I come?
Of course, all babies are welcome in our class. Each parent will need to fill out a short form before the 1st class so specific needs can be discussed.
Q. I have twins, can I come to the baby classes?
Absolutely, we often welcome twins into our class. If mum comes on her own, we recommend that you massage or interact with one baby only at a time - whoever is awake!
Q. I’ve had a premature baby, is it ok to come to the baby classes?
Most definitely, in fact there has been research done to demonstrate just how much premature babies benefit from Baby Massage classes in particular. If you have any further questions that aren’t answered above, please get in touch.
